Hi, my name is Greg Auton, host of the Maritime Gardening Podcast and YouTube channel. I keep a 2,500 square foot vegetable garden in my backyard in Nova Scotia, Canada. The YouTube channel and Podcast are devoted to sharing my insights and observations as I work through the process of applying a permaculture approach to growing my own food.
Our tiny house blog is a great resource for anyone wanting to embark on the tiny life, or any other significant do-it-yourself project. It covers the nitty gritty details of how exactly we achieved the steps of our build, thought processes that went into the decision making of our build, research, logistics, challenges, and more. There are plenty of pictures and some video to help demonstrate what I try to describe, and we welcome all comments and questions. One of the goals with our blog was to inspire and engage other Newfoundlanders and Labradorians who want to prioritize minimalism and sustainability for their lifestyle, and based on the feedback we've gotten, it is contributing to that concept in spades! We look forward to adding more content now that we've returned home from Japan and will be re-igniting our tiny house build for the interior finishes! We cannot wait to complete the build and finalize land purchase so that can finally start living in our tiny house and invite others over to see how attainable and realistic this lifestyle choice is!
The Alberta Urban Garden Channel hopes to promote organic gardening that is simple, sustainable and does not have to cost a lot. We do this by investigating the Science behind gardening, methods, practices and products to make sure that you will have the best chance of successfully growing your own food at home. Home grown food has consistently been shown to be a healthier option than store bought produce so why not put any space you have to good use!
